Human–AI systems:

From theory to operational trust models.

ViSP-Lab human-AI cognitive engineering

ViSP-Lab is an interdisciplinary hub intersecting meaning, communication, and behavior across regional systems for real-world AI deployment.

No big data. Smart data for trust and concentration.

Background

ViSP-Lab began in 2022 with research on Doctor-to-Doctor Communication in the e-Health Era at FHWien.
The research was later expanded at Harvard through Wanice Alfes’ papers E-Governmentality and Influencers as Charismatic Authorities and The Global Burden of Mental Illnesses, receiving ViSP faculty endorsement in its initial concept as a "space" for methods in metacognition.
In 2025, ViSP-Lab´s core concepts were crystallized at MIT CSAIL in Exploring Human-AI Trust and Ethical Interaction Design: A Multidisciplinary Perspective.

Die Brücke project ViSP-Lab

Die Brücke
project

Die Brücke

Die Brücke is the lab’s bridge project.
It addresses regional misalignment in AI cognitive architectures across natural language systems, and its effect on trust and adoption.

Smart data

Moving beyond big data toward strategic human-AI communication across dynamic DACH clusters.

Concentration

Supporting natural-language co-designs for decision-making, regional alignment, interpretability, and operational trust.

Current stage

Currently in pre-pilot phase with initial application in KYC and FinTech contexts.

Research Focus

  • The Law of Gravity for Trust.

  • Regional-centric systems for dynamic DACH clusters.

  • Cultural matrices for meaning and trust in FinTech environments.

These themes support the lab’s broader interest in trust engineering, semantic alignment, and regional deployment.

Relevance

Explanability alone does not resolve cross-regional misalignment.
ViSP-Lab develops models designed to reduce friction by aligning terms, meaning, and perception in human–AI interaction. This is relevant where trust, adoption, and decision confidence matter under regulatory constraints.
